Catrin graduated from the Royal College of Music, London with a BMus Hons Degree and starts her MA in Sept 2016 at Royal Academy of Music, London. Originating from South Wales she is ﬂuent in the Welsh language and won Outstanding Young Musician of the Valleys, came 2nd in the National Eisteddfod 2012 and also in 2015 she went on to win the prestigious Nansi Richards Scholarship. Her previous teacher, Claire Jones is the Former Ofﬁcial Harpist to HRH Prince Charles!
She has performed in various concerts, orchestras and events in and around London and Wales, including playing for the Queen on her Diamond Jubilee tour, performing for his Royal Highness Prince Charles on many occasions, performing at Windsor Castle for the Duke of Edinburgh, performing at the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Festival Hall, the National Gallery, the V&A Museum, the Houses of Parliament Westminster, Birmingham Symphony Hall, St David’s Hall and Cadogan Hall. Catrin has had the honour of working with conductor John Wilson, Sir Roger Norrington and Martin Andre as a member of the RCM Symphony Orchestra and also Sir Karl Jenkins as a member of The Glam Orchestra.!
Catrin teaches Violin, Harp and Music theory privately on a weekly basis all around London to all ages, has worked as an Apprenticeship at Morley College for the Centre for Young Musicians, and was also assistant Harp teacher at the Brecon Harp Course (2011- 2014). Her goal is to make the harp available to children at all schools in London, as it is a beautiful instrument which is not taught at many schools in England. Catrin loves to teach the violin and inspires pupils to play in orchestras, ensembles, and many concerts!!
