Luke grew up in the Highlands of Scotland surrounded by a musical family. It was the insight in to the professional world that his Dad gave him, as a touring keyboard player, that inspired Luke to go and pick up a variety of instruments. It was once he started learning guitar at the age of 7 that he knew that it was to be his instrument of choice. He went on to get a music scholarship to secondary school before going on to attend London’s Institute of Contemporary Music Performance. He was awarded the accolade of ‘Best Guitarist of the Year’ on the Higher Diploma before going on to do a BMus.
Luke is involved in a few function bands that take him all over the country playing mainly university balls and weddings. He is also an in demand accompanist for singers as an in demand amateur theatre and session player. He likes to spend his free time writing and co-writing music as well as working on full band arrangements for some of his function bands.
Luke is very interested in finding the best possible method of learning for his students so that they can see real progress in their playing. He is keen to help everyone on their own personal journey and wants you to achieve what you want from learning your instrument.
