After receiving her first piano lesson at the age of 6, young Su followed her piano teacher's footsteps and her love of music spanned. Ever since Su has resolved to play piano for the rest of her life. Su achieved grade 8 in both piano and theory (ABRSM) at young age.
In 2010 she travelled to Australia and completed her Bachelors of Music at the University of Melbourne under Glenn Riddle. During her studying years Su has experienced playing piano at many different social events such as RACV clubs, hotel lounges and weddings. Alongside her performing Su has also a keen interest in composition and has studied among notable Australian composers such as Stuart Greenbaum and Adam Starr.
For the last 10 years Su has been teaching piano in Malasyia, Singapore, Australia and London to adults and young children alike, gaining a varied experience in different methods and approaches to tailor lessons to her students individual needs.
To Su music is what makes life meaningful and beautiful and she believes that through teaching the piano she can help to pass on this beauty to her students. Su's hope and goal is that students will one day be able to achieve, and possibly exceed, her own musical skills so as to experience the same inner joy that comes from playing and creating music!
"My Son attends piano lessons every Sunday with Su. He really loves attending the lessons and has learnt a great deal. I believe that his teacher Su makes all the difference in bringing out the best of him. She is very knowledgeable in her field and has a lot of patience which really helps. My son finds the lessons very interesting and enjoyable to attend. All I want to say is that you have wonderful teachers here, which are a credit to your School!"
